CPM ↔ SOV converter

Direct deals price a share of voice; programmatic prices a CPM. This converter translates between the two for a given loop — edit either the price or the CPM and the other follows. The math is the loop & SOV model, live.

How it's calculated

slots = loop length ÷ spot length · plays per loop = slots × SOV
advertiser impressions = audience impressions × SOV
effective CPM = price ÷ advertiser impressions × 1,000 — and back

The slots-per-loop and plays-per-loop math is the loop length & ad slots model (Broadsign math, primary). The conversion matters in both directions: a salon network pricing its inventory can sanity-check a rate card against programmatic reality, and a buyer comparing a direct SOV package with an exchange buy can put both on one axis. Loop length is also the ad-load and minimum-deal-size lever — the same number viewed three ways.
